I’m gonna make this quick.
Sorry I’ve been absent. I am well. My significant other took a consulting job in Calgary and I took him to the airport on Sunday this past week. He went out early on a two day “look-see” to familiarize himself with the city and started the job on Tuesday. Sure, it’s a bummer he’s out of town, but this is good $$$$ (REALLY good $$$) and Calgary is only an hour away by WestJet. (the Greatest regional airline in Canada – and I don’t just say that because by OLDER brother is a Captain for the airline. I’m sure he would beg to say they are MUCH bigger than a Regional airline, Jennifer.) I’m going out to see Bill next Thursday night, returing Monday, and then he’s back for the Easter long weekend. After that, I do hope he can come home every 4-6 weeks. We’re solid, so I am not worried.
I am however, completely on my own for the first time in about 10 years. Except for these two darn cats! My wonderful son goes to this dad’s just up the road for two weeks every month and it was time just this Monday. So some people might say I should rejoice in being single, part-time. Well, sort of, maybe only 10-20%. I really am a ‘connected’ person. I need people. (Barbara Streisand – people..who need people…)
Anyway, I’m going to ramble on in more detail tomorrow when I am much more comfortable skiving off of work at my desk, and put it all down. Bill had to take the laptop with him as part of his business. I am much more comfortable lazing in front of the TV on the sofa with the laptop with a glass of wine, er, water next to me, than I am in this dark uncomfortable office watching this little, what is THAT a 14 inch TV!? At LEAST its colour! (the computer however, is much faster than the laptop.)
TTYL folks.
